Hot Tub Date Night

Whew, the holiday season sure takes a lot out of you. If you are like most people, you have spent the last several weeks shopping a ton of stores in search of gifts, out to a few Christmas parties including your company party and your wife’s workplace party and spending time with the in-laws who have been guests at your home since Thanksgiving.

On top of all of that, you still have a job that takes up a lot of your time and other commitments with children and friends. The holiday season is really a busy and hectic time of year. It seems like ages since you have actually spent any quality time with your lovely wife.

Well, Spa Max knows just what the two of you need; a romantic evening in the hot tub. Just the two of you, no kids allowed, or Uncle Bob for that matter.

If you want a successful hot tub date with your wife, if you know what we mean, then follow these tips.

Romantic Lighting

Soft lamps, candles or twinkle lights are an important addition to the romantic ambiance you are trying to create. If you are going to skip out on romantic lighting, at least set up your romantic interlude so it occurs when the sun is setting as that is also romantic.

We really want to stress the importance of candles. Women love candles, for whatever reason, but especially so when water is involved.

Refreshments

You need to have plenty of refreshing drinks within range of the two of you while you are in the hot tub. You will want some iced water, champagne, exotic fruit drinks and even a cocktail or two. Try to avoid beer because beer isn’t at all romantic, it gets warm too soon and it makes you belt out stinky burps, which is hardly a turn on.

If you are going to have food on your date night, make it light, refreshing and foods you can eat without utensils. For example, grapes are a great hot tub date food as are carrot sticks and even pretzels. Popsicles are another fun food you can serve.

You will want to avoid anything with garlic, anchovies, onions and horseradish as these give you stinky breath. You need all the help you can get, don’t let bad breath ruin what could be an awesome night.

Music

If your lovely wife enjoys Ed Sheeran, then make sure you have his music in the mix. Otherwise, avoid him altogether.
Here is the deal when it comes to music; you like certain music and your wife likes certain music, these are two circles that don’t intersect anywhere. So what you need to do is make a playlist of her favorite songs and artists. And if this means having to listen to Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Toby Keith instead of Metallica, Black Sabbath and Nickelback, so be it.

A Nice Invite

Don’t just assume that after 20 years of marriage your wife will just willingly jump into the hot tub with you. Well, she probably will, but you need to do this right and invite her out for a date night in the hot tub.

The way in which you invite your wife to the hot tub date will set the tone. A verbal request is fine, but a written one will better guarantee a successful date.

Write her a little note on an invitation card telling her your thoughts and feelings and all that other stuff you disregard any other time. She will appreciate it.

Seducing Scents

As you should know by now, women love anything that has a pleasant scent. This is why they buy scented candles, perfumed shampoos and body oils that smell like flowers.

Essential oils have been used for seduction since the time of Cleopatra. Use this to your advantage by adding a few drops of romantic essential oils to your hot tub water. You might also want to have a bottle of scented massage oil handy.

Act Like a Gentleman

When meeting your wife for your hot tub date, give her a big smile, tell her how great she looks and hand her a bouquet of roses, or just one, just as long as you have flowers. You might even want to buy her a small gift for the occasion.

Follow these tips and date night in the hot tub will be a very memorable occasion. If you don’t have a hot tub, you can’t have a hot tub date. Remedy this by heading down to Spa Max and buying a hot tub today. Go!
