Just in case you haven’t been thinking about it already for the last few weeks, the holiday season is over and that can mean only one thing; the Super Bowl is right around the corner!

While this is accurate, it is not what we meant. The next holiday on the calendar is every man’s favorite: Valentine’s Day.

This is the day when clueless men fumble about in a vain attempt to make their spouses or significant others happy. And it usually is a train wreck. This is really no surprise, our minds are on much more important things like basketball, hockey, spring training and the Super Bowl.

Plus, we are really getting tired of the cold weather and short days, it is negatively affecting our brain, which is why we make such stupid decisions this time of year.

What you need to do is suck it up and think about what you can do for her on Valentine’s Day this year so it won’t be a disaster. If you happen to have a hot tub from Spa Max, a quiet and romantic evening in the hot tub will do just fine. She will love it providing you make it romantic.

If you don’t have a hot tub, then you are going to have to wing it. We can help by offering these romantic things to do on Valentine’s Day.

Are you sweating bullets yet?

Reservations-Required Dinner

This is a great option for a couple who has only recently started dating. New relationships are filled with excitement as well as anxiety, the fear is one or the other might say too much on a date or too little. But in the heat of the moment, when stuffing your mouth with lobster frittata, you are bound to say all of the right things.

If you have been dating your significant other for awhile or if you are married, dinner at a restaurant that requires reservations is also a good idea. You see, she will know you gave this good thought ahead of time as how else are you going to get reservations at a fancy restaurant on Valentine’s Day unless you called months ago?

Heart-Shaped Food

If hitting a five-star restaurant that has been booked for months and would wind up costing you a small fortune isn’t on the agenda, then plan on staying at home and having the both of you make dinner together.

But here is the kicker, you are the one who goes to the store and picks up all of the ingredients you need.

It’s not like to have to cook anything fancy, like lobster frittata for example, pizza is just fine. The key to this Valentine’s Day dinner is that whatever food you decide to prepare, it has to be in the shape of a heart. Let your imagination go.

Recreate One of Your Best Dates

Do you remember where the two of you were when you had your first kiss? If so, recreate that scene on Valentine’s Day. If that kiss came at a certain restaurant, give them a call and make some reservations. Add to the fun by dressing up in the same style you did on the original date and even mix in a few other activities you two did when the relationship was young.

Send Her on a Treasure Hunt

Send your significant other on a scavenger hunt dotted with handwritten clues and rose petals to find their Valentine’s Day present. Just make sure that you have put some thought into the gift you bought her. And it better not be a small kitchen appliance or vacuum cleaner.

Make Beautiful Music Together

Rent a Karaoke machine, turn the lights down in the living room and get down and get your groove on, baby.

You and the significant other can spend the evening channeling Sade, Seal and all of the songs from the movie Grease. You can have a blast singing duets like Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton or Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne. And don’t forget to mix in a little Donnie and Marie Osmond.

Of course, you can save a heck of a lot of trouble and embarrassment this Valentine’s Day is you were to just head over to Spa Max and buy a hot tub. She will absolutely love it and it doesn’t require anybody to sing.
